The Common Starfish is the most common and familiar starfish in the north Atlantic. It has five arms and is orange or brown. Living in rocky/gravelly substrates, starfish feed on mussels, crustaceans, worms and sea urchins. If a prey is too large to swallow, starfish can push their stomach out of their mouths to digest the large prey. Their stomach covers the prey and liquefies it for easy digestion.
